Fathers' Day Tier 1 Tournament - UTM Summer Series 2022 Event
The U15 Gators dug into a tough weekend against some of the top teams in the province and battled hard. This was the first Tier 1 tournament for this team, and the Gators played strong against some amazing teams!
Running up against an extremely talented Waterloo Ghosts 07 team, the Gators did everything they could in their first game, but were unable to cash in any runs as they were shut down hard. Saturday proved to be just as difficult as they struggled to generate any offense against UTM Revolution 2K7. Later in the day, they began find their bats but could not keep up with the Oakville Angels 07 and the Ontario Blue Jays, dropping all four of their pool play games. There were some tough, tough battles and lots of dust!!
Decked out in their Sunday best, the Gators faced the strong Halton Hawks 07's, and came out on top this game, just for Dad! The victory brought them to the consolation final where the Gators had another chance to defeat the talented Oakville Angels 07's. The girls pushed to the last inning with some hard play and lots of grit (and some dust in their teeth!), but fell just short of a comeback win.
Congrats to the U15 Gators team for some hard battles against some great teams!
Up next for the team is the Motor City International Cup Showdown in Canton, Michigan USA on the Canada Day Long Weekend.
