GVLSA U15 Champions!
The U15 Rep Gators are the 2022 GVLSA U15 League Champions!

The U15 Gators brought home the Gold Medal after some hard fought games with some of the league's finest teams this past weekend.  After finishing the regular season in 1st place, the Gators earned a bye to the second round, which saw them battle the Kitchener Klassics White to a 4-1 victory.  

Palmerston Marlins Black struck early in the next round on Sunday morning.  The Gators watched this game slip away early and couldn't recover in a 3-2 loss.  The pitching was strong on both sides, as the Marlins' pitchers struck out seven, while the Gators' sat down nine.  

In Game 3, the Stratford Flames stood between the Gators and a re-match with Palmerston for the Gold.  Giving up an early run in the 1st inning, the Gators nabbed the lead late in the game, responding with 16 hits and taking the game with a 9-4 victory. 

The pitchers came out strong again in the Gold medal game re-match with Palmerston, with Guelph striking out 6 while the Marlins sat down 8.  The sure-handed Gators snatched the lead late in the championship game for a 2-1 victory, playing solid defense and battling hard all game. 

Congrats to the U15 Rep Gators!  Stay tuned as they head to Windsor for the Tier 1 Provincial Championship weekend, August 19-21st.
