Privacy Statement

The Guelph Minor Softball Association (hereafter referred to as G.M.S.A.) is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. We may maintain a record of your interaction with other affiliated teams (scores, statistics, etc.) Competitions, playoffs and travel commitments, where required. Website Privacy Policy

The G.M.S.A. is committed to protecting your privacy and developing technology that gives you the most powerful and safe online experience. This Statement of Privacy applies to the G.M.S.A. website and governs data collection and usage. By using the G.M.S.A. website, you consent to the data practices described in this statement. 

Collection of your Personal Information

The G.M.S.A. collects personally identifiable information, such as your e-mail address, name, home or work address or telephone number. The G.M.S.A. also collects anonymous demographic information, which is not unique to you, such as your postal code, age, gender, preferences, interests and favourites. 

There is also information about your computer hardware and software that is automatically collected by the G.M.S.A. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used by the G.M.S.A. for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the G.M.S.A. website. 

Please keep in mind that if you directly disclose personally identifiable information or personally sensitive data through G.M.S.A. public message boards, this information may be collected and used by others. Note: G.M.S.A. does not read any of your private online communications.

Use of your Personal Information

G.M.S.A. collects and uses your personal information to operate the G.M.S.A. website and deliver the services you have requested. G.M.S.A. also uses your personally identifiable information to inform you of other products or services available from G.M.S.A. and its affiliates.  G.M.S.A. may also contact you via surveys to conduct research about your opinion of current services or of potential new services that may be offered. 

G.M.S.A. does not sell, rent or lease its customer lists to third parties. G.M.S.A. may, from time to time, contact you on behalf of external business partners about a particular offering that may be of interest to you. In those cases, your unique personally identifiable information (e-mail, name, address, telephone number) is not transferred to the third party. In addition, G.M.S.A. may share data with trusted partners to help us perform statistical analysis, send you email or postal mail, provide customer support, or arrange for deliveries. All such third parties are prohibited from using your personal information except to provide these services to G.M.S.A., and they are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information. 

G.M.S.A. does not use or disclose sensitive personal information, such as race, religion, or political affiliations, without your explicit consent. 

G.M.S.A. keeps track of the websites and pages our customers visit within G.M.S.A., in order to determine what G.M.S.A. services are the most popular. This data is used to deliver customized content and advertising within G.M.S.A. to customers whose behaviour indicates that they are interested in a particular subject area.

G.M.S.A. will occasionally update this Statement of Privacy to reflect company and customer feedback. The G.M.S.A. encourages you to periodically review this Statement to be informed of how G.M.S.A. is protecting your information.

This website is powered by the Sportsheadz Web platform whose full privacy policy is available here.  A summary of that privacy policy is as follows.  Sportsheadz Web does not collect, use, or distribute personal information other than what is required in order to provide support to associations and to issue invoices.  Each association who uses the Sportsheadz Web platform may collect personal information and should have their own privacy policies, however, Sportsheadz Web does not use this information for any purpose.

Clicky Web Analytics
This site use Clicky Web Analytics to log and analyze the traffic to the web site.  You may review Clicky's privacy policy here.  We log "personal data" to Clicky as follows, for the stated legitimate purposes.  A "Unique ID" tracking cookie to identify unique visitors, your IP address for security and fraud prevention, and your username (when logged in) to help us to analyze visitor behavior and assist with customer service needs.  We are using a feature within Clicky's service so that visitors to this site located in the European Economic Area are automatically exempted from any personally identifiable information being tracked by their service.
