U15 HOUSE LEAGUE JOINS THE INTERCOUNTY SOFTBALL ASSOCIATION!
These are exciting times as the Guelph Gators U15 House League team has joined the Intercounty Softball Association (ISA) allowing house league players to play in local softball centres in southwestern Ontario.
This new partnership will mean that the U15 Gators will be a traveling house league team, playing games within the southwestern Ontario loop of the ISA, likely consisting of Mount Forest, Drayton, Grand Valley, and Ponsonby (Ariss), with other teams potentially joining.
This will result in the Gators playing each team in their ISA division twice with half of the games being held in Guelph and the other half being held at the other SWO ISA centres, capped off with a weekend championship tournament with all ISA teams in early August.
Game nights and times are to be determined, but most likely will be at 8:30 pm between Sundays and Thursdays. Teams and dates will be firmed up after April 27th.“This is a truly exciting partnership for the Guelph Gators and the ISA,” said Peter VanDorp, U15 Travelling House League Head Coach. “Traditionally, our house league teams have not been a travelling squad. This will be a great opportunity for our U15s to keep playing at a competitive level while also gaining valuable travel experience that is still close to home.”Registration is now open for GMSA house league at all levels. Click here to join. Additionally, GMSA is offering an Early Bird discounted rate of $190 to players who register before April 4th, after which the cost will go up to $220.
