The Guelph Minor Softball Association mourns the loss of Dino Fraresso, a cherished member of our community whose dedication to the game and unwavering support of players and colleagues left a lasting mark on all who knew him.
Visitation & Funeral DetailsFor many years, Dino was a cornerstone of our association, not only for his tactical knowledge and coaching expertise but for the way he uplifted everyone around him. He was more than a coach—he was a mentor, a leader, and a friend.
From early mornings on the field to late-night strategy talks, Dino embodied the spirit of softball with passion and generosity. His commitment went beyond wins and losses; he fostered sportsmanship, resilience, and a genuine love for the game in every player who stepped onto the field under his guidance.
Dino is featured in the Guelph Sport Hall of Fame, inducted as part of the coaching staff of our 1997 Midget Girls National Championship winning team. He was a resident of the local Exhibition Park community and many families remember chatting with him at Gators games, where he would sit on the top row of the 3rd base bleachers to take in the sights and sounds of Gators fastball.

While we deeply feel this loss, we also celebrate the incredible legacy Dino leaves behind. His lessons, laughter, and leadership will remain etched in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have shared the field with him.
Our thoughts are with Dino’s family, friends, and loved ones during this time. As we continue to play, coach, and celebrate the game he loved, we carry forward his passion and dedication. Thank you, Dino, for everything—you will never be forgotten.
