Gators U16 back on the diamond

The Guelph Gator U16 team took the field last night in Ancaster, first time this team has been on the dirt since tryouts.
The ladies could not wait to get started, Emma started on the mound and went 3 innings for the Gators, faced 10 batters, no walks and no runs scored. Haley came in to finish the game in the 4th and secured the win for the Guelph team. Karleigh, Sumyr and Erin were fierce behind the plate. These Guelph catchers kept runs from advancing throwing out 2 players at second. Excellent defense and and plays made kept limited runners on base for Ancaster.
Guelph was hot on their bats! Each player contributed to a dominating win for the Gators with singles from Emma #22, Sumyr, Hailey, doubles from several ladies, Karleigh, Erin, Lauren, Lilah, Brooklynn to name a few, and Emma #33 cashed a triple.
Great night for this new 2020 team, we expect to see great things from them this season!
