Barrie Summer Bash Tournament - U15 Weekend
U15 Underdogs!

The U15 Gators just wrapped up at the Barrie Summer Bash where they went toe to toe against the U17 team!!  Finishing in 3rd place after the round robin with a 2-3 record, battling all weekend to make it to the bronze medal game, narrowly missing out on a medal!

Their first game was a bit rocky, down 12-2 these AMAZING girls battled back to start the last inning down 12-9.  Libby #30 went up for her last at bat with bases loaded and she crushed one to cash in all three runs!!!!  With the game all tied up, #19 Jorgia stepped up to the plate and made excellent contact to cash in the game winning run to allow the Gators to win the first game of the tourney by a score of 13-12!

With what seems to be par for the season, there was a rain delay Saturday but this didn’t dampen our Gator Spirit!  Making her official pitching debut after the rain delay was none other than #30 LIBBY!!!  She came in to finish off the inning by throwing 5 pitches to get the final 2 outs of the inning.

Going into Sunday, the girls had their game faces on to win their do or die game by a score of 5-3.  Unfortunately, the Gators couldn’t pull out a win to head for Gold but they played hard and secured themselves a shot at Bronze!  The grit, determination and pride this group of REMARKABLE girls showed playing in the U17 Tier II level was truly inspirational.

Up next for these warriors is the UTM MTE U15 Tournament where they hope to keep the momentum going and secure a medal!!!
