Brampton Tier 1 Invitational - U15 Weekend
The U15 Rep Gators fought hard in another great weekend of competitive match-ups!  A huge "Thank-you!" to our hosts (U15 Brampton Blazers Gold) for putting together a great 2 day event!

Leading off the weekend, the U15 Gators watched their first game slip away to the host Blazeres early and couldn't recover in a 16-0 loss.  The team struggled to put runs of the board and had a tough time defensively containing the Blazers offense.  One bright spot for the U15 Gators was a triple by M. Fleming in the 5th inning.

The Gators showed up ready in their next game, collecting 12 hits in a high scoring affair against the D1 Nationals.  A walk-off left the team on the wrong side of a 9-8 defeat, as the game was tied at eight as the D1 Nationals doubled in the bottom of the 7th inning to score the winning run.  It was a strong game to close out Saturday.

The U15 Gators got their offense started in the first inning with another triple by M. Fleming against the Oakville Angels 07.  Unfortuately, the Angels pulled away for good with three runs in the 4th inning, ending the game with a 7-5 final.  The Gators got on the board early in their next game against the Waterloo Ghosts Gold with an early run in the 1st inning.  Leading 5-4 late in the game, the Gators lost the lead on a double by the Ghosts, ending in their game in a 9-5 defeat.  The final game ended in a tie with a tight contest with the Vaughan Vikings.  S. Winslow evened things up at nine with a single in the bottom of the last inning to drive in the tying run.

A great weekend where the U15 Gators showed great resilience and big improvement against some of the toughest competition in the province.  Great work!

Next up, the U15 Gators finish out their league play heading into the GVLSA playoff weekend on August 13-14 at Budd Park in Kitchener.  They will end their season with the PWSA Tier 1 Provincial Championship in Windsor on August 19-21st.
