PWSA Provincial Qualifiers - U17 Weekend
The U17 Gators played in their PWSA Provincial Qualifier tournament in Oshawa this past weekend!
The Gators kept things close in their first game on Friday against the Oshawa Lady B's until the 4th inning, when the Lady B's broke the tie in the bottom of the inning. The U17 Gators struggled to contain the high-powered offense at the end of the game, giving up 15 runs to take their first loss of the tournament.
In their second game of the double elimination tournament, the U17 Gators fell behind early to the Mississauga Southwest Hurricanes on Saturday morning. The U17 Gators tied it up in the bottom of the 1st, but the Hurricanes pulled ahead for good with a run in the second inning. The pitching was strong on both sides in this contest.
Next up: The U17 Gators compete at the Provincial Championships in Windsor on August 5 - 7, wind down GVLSA league games, and end the season on August 13-14 in London at their GLVSA Playoff Weekend.
